Meet the Owner

John Sykes
MSW, LCSW, Owner (he/they)
John Sykes is an integrated therapist, abolitionist and educator. John is the owner of According to Sykes. John works with individuals, families and communities impacted by the complexities of traumatic life events. He uses a relational framework as a vehicle to facilitate healing and reflective spaces. Body-centered, inner selves work and systemic models are approaches used in his practice.

You deserve to feel seen and heard. I’m Kellie Ramdeen, a counselor-in-training currently enrolled in Northwestern University’s CACREP-accredited mental health counseling master’s program. I work with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse, multicultural backgrounds in the Chicago area, helping them recognize their strengths, feel empowered to realize their goals, and increase their overall wellness. As a counselor-in-training, I am committed to social justice and advocacy, and I am dedicated to helping my clients feel supported by fostering a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe, judgment-free space.
